Let Me Be Your Free Fitness Coach!

Welcome to Thrive in Harmony with Coach Kris

Are you curious?  Do you have a sneaking feeling sometimes that there must be more to life? That you are living a life of mediocrity?

That was me, Kris Legere, wife to Matt and mom to two active kids and one fur baby.  I used to work full time, commuting back and forth to the city. I always felt like I was one step behind, trying to keep everyone on track, healthy meals on the table, and the house and yard looking respectable.  I was not happy with what I saw in the mirror, how I felt in my clothes, or my energy level. I scurried all day, and went to bed exhausted every night.

I ran into a friend one day who was bursting with energy, had lost 60 lbs, and was happily carting three young boys along with her.  “What happened to you?!” I asked her. She had quite simply found an online fitness coach who helped keep her accountable, started an at- home workout program accompanied by healthy eating and portion control.  I decided to give it a try. Since last November, I’ve been working out almost daily, eating better, toning up and losing weight.  And the best part? So much more energy!

The house is still a mess, and we still eat supper some days at 8:00 pm, but it’s not because I was stuck in traffic.  It’s because I’ve been camping, hiking, biking, visiting and exploring with my family. We live in such a beautiful province, with so many nooks and crannies to explore.

When I’m home I love to work in my flower beds and my garden. I find it feeds my soul.  I am constantly amazed at how something can start out so insignificant and small, and grow to produce beautiful flowers, fruit, and vegetables.  I’m growing a garden, so my kids can see where real food comes from.  I keep hoping they might actually try the strawberries, turnips and tomatoes someday, but no such luck yet!

I convinced my husband to go for a hike one gorgeous Sunday afternoon rather than watch a golf tournament.  He left cranky, and came home happy, thanking me for pushing him out the door.  That’s how memories are made, not sitting in front of the TV. As an online fitness coach, my hours are flexible and I can work around my life, rather than organize my life around my work, so if it’s going to be a beautiful day, I’m out there enjoying it.

Trust me, no one is every “ready” and it’s never the “right time” to make a significant lifestyle change, but I know if I can do it (I don’t even like working out) so can you, and the rewards are endless. You owe it to your family and you owe it to yourself, to be the best version of you, and live this life to the max.  Let me help you do just that.  Nourish your body and fuel your spirit.  You only live once, but once is enough if you do it right.

More About Me

I’m a rural kid, born and raised.  I spent my days growing up riding horses and bikes, playing with various pets, and building camps in the woods or in the hay mow.  Back then we didn’t call it a “hike” – we just played in the woods and fields, explored and learned about our environment.  Exercise wasn’t something special, it was just a way of life.

I have a degree in Education, and a specialization in French.  I also have an advanced diploma in Human Resource Management.  I enjoyed both of my former lives, but truly feel I have found my niche as an on-line fitness coach, supporting others on their journey to better health and fitness.
